Moving to Vienna ウィーンに引越す

It was a year ago when I found my apartment for weekend in Vienna, I finally decided to move to Vienna despite long commuting time. The apartment room is not big, or rather small, I cannot buy things easily and I think it very nice for me. I do not want to own things any more. Fruitful time and with those who to share. The Father of my friend kindly helped me to transport my things from Steyr, I cannot thank him too much for his proposal. Most of my laggage was book, although I abandoned many in advance.

週末用のアパートをウィーンに見つけてちょうど一年。 そして長い通勤時間ではあるもののウィーンに移り住むことにした。アパートの部屋は大きくはない。むしろ小さいほうだと思うが、そう簡単にモノを買えないのでいいことだと思っている。もう特に何かが欲しいとは思わない。それよりも充実した時間とそれをシェアできる友達。友人のお父さんがシュタイヤーからの荷物の運搬をアレンジしてくれた。彼の申し出には感謝のしようがない。たくさん捨てたのにも関わらず、荷物のほとんどが本。

The driver came all the way from Rumania this day, more than 1000km away. He understands German and the other only little because he just started to live in Austria since January and we spoke in English. They are Rumanien and speak Rumanien in general, but I understood them relatively much because the language is quite similar to Italian. First I talked in English with the one and he translated into Rumanien, but from the middle I spoke Italian and they had understood me fairly well.

運転手はこの日はるばる1000kmは離れているルーマニアからやってきた。彼はドイツ語を話すが、もう一人はこの1月にオーストリアに来たばかりで会話は英語になる。彼ら2人はルーマニア人で2人同士ではルーマニア語で話をする。でもイタリア語に似ているから結構会話が分かる。最初は隣に座っている彼と英語で話し、彼がドライバーにルーマニア語で話の内容を伝えていたが、途中からイタリア語を混ぜて話をする。彼らもイタリア語はよく分かるみたいだ。


To commute to my office, I will buy a year pass of Austrian Railway (ÖBB) for 1790 Euro, which allows me to take any second class train in Austria including some bus lines and local trains, or it costs too much. A round ticket from Vienna to my office costs 30 Euro in 50% price with railway card (100 Euro a year). 4 days a week would be summed up to 500 Euro a month. It is definately not a small amount of money but the year pass will allow me to use it for my private time and to anywhere. It is much more reasonable any way. I can never lose it!


ウィーンから 事務所に通うのに1790ユーロで１年券を買い、それでオーストリア国内の2等車両といくつかのバスやローカル線が載り放題になる。さもなければ年間 100ユーロの割引券で50％値引きされた状態の切符を買っても往復30ユーロ。週に4日で月当たり500ユーロほどになる。安い買い物ではないが、プラ イベートでも他の路線にも使えるから、どのみち明らかにお得。でも絶対に失くせない！

I started to live in Vienna as a test, I wanted to try to spend my private time here after living in a small city for seven years. Once a stone starts to roll, it goes down and down. At least I am sure that I had a right decision for me and I am looking foward to my new environment.

ウィーンに 住んでみるというのは最初から決めて始めたわけじゃないが、7年間小さな地方都市で暮らしてみた後で、ウィーンを試してみたかった。一度転がりだした石は 止まらない。少なくとも正しい選択だったと思っているし、新しい環境で生活できることを楽しみにしている。
