Walking through vineyard ブドウ畑を歩く

One of my friends called me to go for a walk in vineyard in a small town near Baden. Usually we would think of Grinzing where there are lots of Heurige (wine restaurant) in 19 district of Vienna, this small town seems to be much bigger than that. It seems that not many tourists would visit here, wine out of this region would be consumed around this area.

友人がバーデンの近くにあるワインの産地でブドウ畑を散歩しようと誘ってきた。普段はウィーンの１９区にあるグリンツィングに行くところだが、ここはグリンツィングと比べても遥かに大きい。あまり観光客は居ないようで、ワインはほとんどがこの近辺で消費される模様。

From the train station we walked along vine yards toward Baden. The view from Grinzing over Vienna city is wonderful, but the scenery here was also excellent. Grapes have been already cropped, there were still some left.

鉄道の駅からワイン場だけを通ってバーデンの方向に向かう。グリンツィングのウィーン市内を一望できる眺めもなかなかだが、ここの景色もなかなかだ。ぶどうはもう収穫されたようだったが、まだところどころに房が残っている。

We wanted to try Sturm, a typical drink of this season which is a sort of wine before starting fermentation, but unfortunately it has already gone at two locations.

みんなでシュトゥルムを飲もうと言っていた。ワインが発行を始める直前の飲み物だが、残念なことにすでに売り切れていた。

Christmas Hiking クリスマスハイク

A friend of mine asked me if I would like to go hiking on the Christmas day. Usual people would stay at home with their family, it was actually very cold outside.

友人の一人がクリスマスにハイキングに行かないかと誘ってきた。普通の人は家族と一緒に家で過ごす。実際外はとても寒かった。

We met at Charles Church and then took metro and street car to Wienerwald. There are lots of hiking courses there which would take from 2 to 4 or 5 hours. I went for hiking for sometimes in fall. Mountain treck was coverted with snow or partly icy. We took care not to slip on the ice and went up the mountain path.

カールス教会で待ち合わせをし、地下鉄と路面電車を乗り継いでウィーンの森へ。そこには2時間から4、5時間かかるハイキングコースがいくつもある。秋に何度か来た。山道は雪で覆われていて、ところどころ凍結していた。気をつけながら山道を登っていく。

We had a lunch break at the mountain lodge including sweets. There are several families there, maybe they drove up here by car. We had a view over Vienna and then came back to city again.

ロッジでスイーツも含めてお昼にする。何組か家族連れがいたが、みんな車でここまで来たに違いない。ウィーンの上からの景色を拝んでまた町に戻る。

グリンツィング周辺のブドウ畑をハイキングする。もちろんブドウをこっそり頂いたりはしない。;)

Hiking ハイキング

The weather was not really nice but I joined the hiking in Hermannskogel in Vienna where there are lots of Heurige wine restaurants. The group is from foreigner living in Vienna, 7 gathered together for the day; two from Poland, one from Ukraine, the USA, India, Japan and Austria..
We took the bus line 39A until the terminal and then followed the hiking course around there. Duration was about 3 to 4 hours, it is for beginners. We climed up the tower which was used as a difense controlling tower in Habsburger time, 557m from the sea level, the highest point in Vienna.

天気がそれほどよくはなかったが、ウィーンのヘルマンズコーゲルという、近くにたくさんのホイリゲレストランのあるところへハイキングに行った。グループはウィーンに住んでいる外国人。この日7人が集まった。2人がポーランド、それからウクライナ、アメリカ、インド、日本とオーストリアから各1人づつ。バスの３９Ａの終点まで行き、ハイキングコースを辿る。所要時間は３～４時間と初心者向けコース。ハプスブルグ家の時代には監視等として使われていた、ウィーンで最も高い海抜５５７ｍのところにある塔にも登る。

It is not very far from Grinzing, famous for Heurige wine restaurants, there are lots of vineyards around there.

ホイリゲで有名なグリンツィングから遠くないこともあって、周囲にはたくさんのブドウ畑が。

Hiking in snow

I went to hiking in the mountain in national park about 30 km north from Steyr. They offer a guide tour walking with snow shoes through the forest. It was snowing but therefore we were able to enjoy fresh deep snow all aroud, there nobody lives except small creatures or wild animals...

シュタイヤから南に３０ｋｍほどのところにある自然公園にハイキングに行ってきた。そこではかんじきをはいて森の中を散歩するガイドツアーがある。雪が降っていたが、おかげでまっさらな一面の深雪を堪能できた。そこには小さな生き物と野生動物以外誰も住んでいない。





The tour started from the ski piste it used to be, we walk through the forest, go up and down the slop between trees. We had lunch in the forest (I took onigiri with me) then three and a half walk finished.

ガイドツアーは元スキー場のゲレンデからスタートして、木々の間を通りながら斜面を登ったり降りたり。途中森の中で持ち寄ったお昼を食べて、（おにぎり持参）そして３時間半ほどのトレッキングは終了した。
