Sakura 桜

There is at least one cherry tree at Charles Square. Today, the beginning of the Easter holiday, it was sunny and very warm, lots of people were sitting on the bench and spend their time talking with friends or lovers.... but not under the cherry tree. As I saw that in Germany too. Nobody paied attention to cherry blossoms. Why Japanese can be so keen on that, now it is even a question for me... We do Hanami because the cherry trees are there! we do not need any reason.

カールスプラッツには少なくとも1本桜の木がある。イースター休暇初日の今日、とてもいい天気で暖かく、たくさんの人がベンチに座って友達や恋人と話しをしていた。。。。が、桜の木の下ではない。ドイツも出同じような光景を目にした。誰も桜の花を気に止めない。どうして日本人が桜にそんなにこだわるのか、自分にも不思議に思えてきた。でも桜の花がそこにあるから花見をする。ほかに理由は必要ない！
