Usually I would play with my friend, but our time did not match this time and I decided to join in a badminton club mainly by Japanese people. In the club, there is a professional badminton player, Mr.Tanaka who joined in international tournaments as Austrian representative. I was very lucky to be there, they say that he seldom teaches but this day he taught us the basic formation of doubles very in detail. There are also many experienced players. To have a nice image, to see nice players play is really helpful. I was there for the first time and I did not play for court fee or anything, I really enjoyed to be there to play badminton and love to go again.
普段は友人とバドミントンをするが、今回はお互いの時間の都合が会わず、日本人がメインで構成されているバドミントンクラブの練習に参加することにした。このクラブには田中さんというオーストリア代表として国際試合にも参加されているプロのバドミントン選手がいらっしゃる。他のメンバーの人たちいわく、彼はめったに人に指導しないそうで、とてもラッキーだった。今回はダブルスのフォーメーションについてとても詳しく教えていただいた。他にも経験者の方がたくさんいらっしゃる。うまい人のプレーを見るのは、いいイメージを頭に焼き付けるのにはとても役に立つ。初めての参加ということで今回はコート使用費すら払わなかったが、とても楽しくプレーできたし、またぜひ参加したい。
Moreover, unexpectedly I got to know that one of the members is working for a Japanese tool company, one of the most famous companies worldwide. And I asked him if he knows my friend in Humburg. My friend whom I got to know in Dusseldorf in 2002. We were at the same host family arranged by Goethe Institute to learn German. What a surprise! World is sometimes very small.
さらに、偶然にもメンバーの一人が世界でも有名な日本の工具メーカーでお勤めだと聞き、僕の友人を知っているかと尋ねてみる。彼とは２００２年にデュッセルドルフでドイツ語を勉強していたときに、ゲーテインスティテュートから紹介されたホストファミリー宅に一緒に住んでいた。なんということか！ 時として世界はとても狭い。
