Mosquitos 蚊
After the flood, then mosquitos came. It is said that it would be 10 times more than usual year.
Now in the middle of baseball season, we have 10 games more to play. At the ball park in Vienna where we use as home ground this year, we see much more mosquitos than the last year. We have to fight against the other team and also mosquitos...
I really wish that what the paper says right; it would be end in the middle of July.

Job ticket
From this January 1st, government introduced the system job ticket. This is for employees who commutes in public transportation. In this system, company would pay for commuters but this extra income will be treated without tax. Actually, goverment accounced in February and it should be in act from
January 1st.
There was the system since 2011. But it was just for employees who commutes more than 20km. From this year, this was expanded to all commuters.
In Japan, it is quite common from long time ago. The fee for 3 to 6 months pass will be transfered in bank account from the company before the ticket becomes invalid. Many Japanese job seekers would normally select companies that will pay for their transportation. But this is not legally defined in Japan and its handling differes from company to company.
The leader of worker's union in my company asked me the other day, how much I pay for my ticket. I had to buy my new ticket until the end of March. All paper job seemed to take much longer, so I already bought the new one. Maybe from the next year, I do not have to pay for it.
I would buy the Austrian card which is valid for a year and all Austrian railway nets, and it is not very cheap. From this year, it costs 1640 Euro, but to my surprise, it costs cheaper than the last year for more than 100 Euro!

Delay public transportation
In 2012, Austrian Airline succeeded to be one of the most punctual flight companies. And the difference between All Nippon Airways at the second place is just 0.1%.
Not only flight, trains in Austria are said to be very punctual, at least in Europe. On the next day, my train to office delayed for an hour; departure for 25 minutes, and the train stayed on the track for 35 minutes. Due to a technical problem as usual.

Salt intake statistic
I found the article in the newspaper on weekend about salt intake statistic in Austria. I have written in my old posts that Austrian food is in general salty. This statistic says, men would have 8.5g of salt per day. Of course the question will arise how much Japanese would take salt.
According to the statistic of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, salt intake of Japanese in 2010 is 10.2g. This statistic also shows that Japanese have been reducing salt intake for years. In Japan there are products like soy sauce or miso which contains less salt and we can easily buy them at supermarkets.
So, Japanese people intake more salt than Austrian. It is quite interesting. It is maybe because of soy sauce and miso. Salt in pickles cannot be ignored, too. We would eat miso soup almost every day and soy sauce is one of the most important seasoning. WHO suggests 5g salt per day.

Austrian Wine is nice with sushi?
I found an article on an Austrian paper about Austrian wine and sushi.
"- Those who wants a success in Japanese wine market needs endurance.-
Austrian wine export to Japan in the first half year 2012 developed 35 percents in the amount 735.000 euros. Each Japanese would drink wine about 2 litters a year, the market still has much room to expand. Wine lovers will drink Austrian, German wines and those from the New Zeeland.
The young wine costs 2950 yen in Japan, almost 30 euro which is three times as much as in Austria.
Austrian wines have an unique character and matches Japanese dishes. Also wine from blended filed in Zahel is also nice to sushi or other mild fish, rice dishes because of its sweetness. "
I think like Italian wines as for white wine, but I fully agree that Austrian white wine with delicate sweetness can match Japanese dishes or even sushi without disturbing.
On the other hand, Japanese sake is getting more and more famous in Europe, too. And yes, it costs almost three times as much as in Europe than in Japan, as is written in the newspaper.

Apartment issue in Vienna
Today, I found an article about apartment price comparison in the world
in a newspaper, I would like to translate a part of it into English.
"More expensive than in Germany, cheaper than in Japan"
In Vienna, to live in the city is more expensive than in a German city. But much cheaper than to live in metropole cities like London, New York or Tokyo. The comparison was carried out for rent of an apartment with three rooms, of about 80m2.

Vienna lies in this international ranking at about the middle of the whole 130 cities with its rent price of 1200 Euro at 42nd place, it is much cheaper than in Kopenhagen and more expensive than in Milan.

Changing national anthem
Seems that they want to add "daughters" to this、not only "sons"....
Land of mountains, land on the river,
Land of fields, land of cathedrals,
Land of hammers, with a good future.
Homeland are you of great sons,
Nation graced with beauty,
much praised Austria,
much praised Austria!
Strongly fought for, fiercely contested,
You lie at the continent's center
like a strong heart.
You have borne since ancient times
The burden of a high mission,
much tested Austria,
much tested Austria!
With courage into a new age,
free and believing watch us stride,
happily working and full of hope.
In fraternal chorus let us swear in unity
fatherland, our allegiance to you,
much beloved Austria,
Land of fields, land of cathedrals,
Land of hammers, with a good future.

Nation graced with beauty,

But how can I avoid this news if I keep this blog from Austria? This if the top page of free street paper.

May Day メーデー
The May Day this year has some different meaning to Austria. Austria has kept careful stance toward opening job market for Eastern EU countries until now but was forced to open it from EU commission. And from now on, from May 1 2011, people from Poland, Slovalia, Hungary can find a job in Austria without any restriction. In newspapers there were articles last week what would happen to the unemployment rate in Austria, or especially in Vienna where many people want to come, work and live. As the latest statistics shows, to live in Vienna is quite comfortable. Time seems to flow very slowly in the city of culture and music, more space in public places compared to other big European capitals.
Beside this topic, there has been some discussion about the young politician Mr.Sebastian Kurz 24 y.o. for the integration minister. As same as in Germany, growing number of foreingers in Austria is the center of topic due to education. Integration has been always the topic since decades. When I started to live in Austria in 2002, the government dediced to issue German language course coupon for every foreigners who started to live in Austria and they have to finish a certain amount of German lessons at school. But the reality is that there are lots of problems in school classes especially in bigger citires in Austria. More than 40% are from forein families and students cannot make themselves understood in German.
Japan has been saying to accept immigrants to compensate low birth rate, and many foreign people point out that Japan has to move quickly as possible for the countermeasure. I personally do not agree to the opening Japan for immigrants without any condition. To import and adjust what is good in foregn countries; which Japan has been doing since more than a century. They also ahve to see the facts that there are lots of problems in many European capitals about this issue.

The end of the army service in Austria?
Since Norbert Darabos who is in charge of national defence and sport ministry showed the future plan to change its policy to oblige men to serve in amy, there have had more discussions in newspapers or in the Internet as it were for paying for Euro fighters.
In Austria, due to current constitution, men from 17 to 50 should serve in amy for six months, it is also possible to deny it from conscientious reason but they have to serve for another replacement duty for 9 months at hospitals, social welfare or cultural facilities which state governer acknowledges. In fact, since 1998, about 25% of those who qualified the army service have chosen this alternative duty.
Mr Darabos's idea is to change the system more as profession and without obligation. In Europe, some countries like Italy, France, Spain, Hungary and so on already abolished army service in this 21st century. The countries where they still have army service are Greek, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Switzerland and so on.
In Japan on the other hand, although the country has military but is not able to say officially that it is a military but self defence force, is actually treated as profession since long time. This is the way how Japan can possess it instead of its constitution that the country may never possess army. However, this "fake" military has lots of limit to act in emergency such as earthquake; without ordering out they have to keep the traffic rule and may
never ignore red light at traffic signal. This is now the right time to think it again, what it really is and should be.

Anton Sailer
If you would address five Austrian people in the history, whom would you do? Due to the local newspater, Anton Sailer (Toni Sailer) is one of the five Austrians to mention for Japanese. He died at 73 years old after having fighting against his cancers for years and his funeral was carried out on last Saturday. In his hometown Kitzbuehl, one of the biggest Austrian ski resorts, lots of people gathered to mourn his death including ski stars such as Jean Claude Killy, Herman Mayer and Nicol Hosp, and many politicians.
He became a star in Austria when he won the three races in Winter Olympic in Cortina 1956, when the country was struggling hard from the war time recession. He was very young 20 then, established the ski school after his name and hotels in his home town Kitzbuehl. He also came to Japan as a movie star and casted with Yuzo Kayama. His contribution to Japanese ski boom was enomous. He also designed some courses in Japan such as Sailer-Gelände in Appi-Kougen in Aomori prefecture. I was once there for skiing 18 years ago, now it reminds me somehow of courses in Kitzbuehl, wide and flat piste.

OPEL belongs to Magna
Last Friday there was a public announcement that the company will be sold to Magna, Austro-Canadian automotive supplier after the long negotiation between GM, OPEL, German government and candidates supposed to buy the company. It came to the conclusion just before official GM's insolvency publication this Monday.

As one of the employees of the company, I have seen many within the company and heard what my colleagues had spoken, or other insider information. There is still no detailed information about the contract, due to the press it should be signed in four or five weeks.
On Saturday I bought some newspapers, Austrian and also German ones. From my personal impression, German seem to be more interested in the issue than most of Austrian. But the influence of this is enomous in Austria. Magna is one of the largest car producers but only for car companies. There are lots of parts suppliers in Austria, too. They are producing Mercedez G class, BMW X5, Mini ban, Maseratti, Chryster 300C and so on, the city Graz is told as Austrian Detroit. And in the location now, contract workers have been laid off already and the others are working in shoter hours on assembly lines.
There was a similar issue, when Chrysler was to sold to somebody about two years ago, also Magna was told as one of the candidate. The decision then was that we cannot be a competitor of our customers.

Not only Magna support OPEL's finantial problem but with Russian car company GAZ, a partner of Magna for Russian car market; Magna already founded their engineering center in Russia in Nizhny Novgorod. From Russian side, they expect higher technology from the west, from West side they want to minimize the risk of investing on one of the emerging markets. The number of car sales in Western countries has already hit the limit, so as in Japan.
Magna CEO told in German press conference the other day that Magna would not produce its own car but only for customers, but I was not able to find any such lines in some newspapers I bought today. To secure the job is the highest concern from the German government and so from the worker's union of OPEL side. I understand the whole automotive industry has been changing to help each other to develop cars in lower cost and there are lots of tie-ups between car companies. However, how much this issue's impact of this merger will be, is not very clear at the moment at least for the end employees.
As one of the employees of the company, I have seen many within the company and heard what my colleagues had spoken, or other insider information. There is still no detailed information about the contract, due to the press it should be signed in four or five weeks.

Giving up a part of income
After the press release of GM and Chrysler insolvency, the topic has come up that all of the employees within Magna group have to give up a part of their salary for a year. But what most of us cannot understand is, it has been treated as volunteer. And recently somebody gives pressure on it so that most of employees would accept it.
It is very easy to understand the situation because our company group is dependent on Big 3 for its profit and has been recently trying to reduce the dependency on the American market.
But why volunteer? And then seems to be forced to accept it? Are they trying to make a list of personel to identify who is loyal to the company or not for the day when they have to lay-off people for the crisis?
Feeling of distrust is getting bigger and bigger about this issue. There are many locations within our group companies, other location have already finished and about more than 80 or more percentages of signature. The dead line for signing contract is coming Monday, I am very interested in the result of this.

No Kiss at school
I read a newspaper article last week that one of Hauptschule in Upper Austria (Hauptschule.... students from about 10 to 16 in Austria) banned kisses among students at school and it was on the newspaper not only in regional papers.
As you might have know, in many European countries friends would greet by giving kisses on the cheeks, right and left one after another is common. (Trivial difference is there, twice or three
times...) Maybe in Japan, nobody can see somebody is hugging and kissing in the university or any public place, or they should be usually foreigners.
I remember the another article that the city Venezia started to control bad manner of tourists, decided to fine whoever kisses on the streets. I lost how much it was, but tourists would be fined when they sit on the streets or steps, walking in the bikini or something else in summer. For Japanese tourists it makes no difference any way.
Many people are against the kiss ban in the school as far as I read papers... can you imagine that in Japan? I think at least 100 years we need to see such the scene in Japan or never.

Bads to appologize and not to 謝らない業と謝る業
Since the last incident of Schindler's elevator made in Switzerland, Japanese media has been always blaming the company for its problem handling. The company will not officially apologize for the incidents but is just blaming maintenance companies for the cause of the trouble. They say that the company does not want to lose the market share of Japan by apologizing for that and is not willing to cooperate for investigation although the company's elevators actually have had lots of troubles in the market in many countries. Major opinions in the media are that the company should quickly apologize for that. When I read the opinions, I remembered a situation in blog by Mr. Hanaoka which I often read, there were lots of accusations from the fans of "Morning Musume (morning girls)." for Mr.Hanaoka's defamation that he ought to apologize quickly and retract his words. Many fans wrote that the way of his apologizing is not appropriate nor enough. The discussion if somebody apologizes good enough or not, should be asked only in Japan? Principally, it is very seldom that people would apologizes so often and easily except Japan. Have you ever heard that somebody advised you never to say "I am sorry" when unfortunately involved in an traffic accident abroad? It might be one of the easiest examples. Japanese can forget past mistakes of others when it has been once properly apologized. It is quite natural to ask apology for the person in charge even in rather impolite way and it is taken as usual in whole Japanese society. It may result in an unexpected trouble for the people that support the "accused" people and lessen his crime, even if their insistence is based upon facts. Here I can find a problem in Japan or I have to ask myself if Japan is really a democratic country. This is a custom of Japanese to just follow major opinion blindly. Although there has been found no problem with a certain elevator system somewhere, the discussion point would be bent to completely wrong direction; a new problematic issue would be created there that the elevator is just installed there even if it is working free from problems.
Our neighbor countries that would tend to boldly put their weakness aside and just criticize against Japan, they would be never changed to excuse Japan and it is not the topic, if Japan had apologized or how. Their attitude would be never changed and they have to keep doing that. They have learned through their diplomatic relation ship with Japan that their regime can keep their face toward their citizens and Japan would spontaneously transfer money to them without even complaining, if they keep accusing Japan. It is very pity that that was Japanese politicians that have built up such a shameful tradition. Moreover, a certain country even blamed when Japanese government decided to restart ODA which had once frozen. In Japanese sense, anybody can expect to hear "Thank you very much" from the country. Many Japanese must have thought what a shameless behavior of that country was. However, it seems to me that it is just as same as the company Schindler did then, considering total damage by official apology to customers and decided not to do so. It is quite general in the countries except Japan that just to apologize does not help anyone, or it might be even taken negatively to apologize so superficially and actually behave in different way. I often find critiques or even anger by Japanese that are living abroad that European or American would not say "I am sorry" when they can naturally expect it. Of course I experienced similar cases by myself in Europe.
Here arises a question, if Japanese can be the human race which can force other people to apologize honestly, or to excuse them because they have once properly apologized. Foreigners cannot be in the case. There might be some exceptions, but they would only apologize when they admit their fault. Accusers would just pile the facts in decent way. Nobody in foreign countries would say apology in the way Japanese would do, they would never accuse other people just out of feeling, nor deny personality because of the fault. Japanese people tend to expect quite naturally that others would have the same feeling and accuse, discriminate those who cannot share the same feeling. Such Japanese sense of feeling would cause just a mistrust in global society. To plead or justify themselves is not a natural virtue of Japanese, but it should be understood that nobody should not change or distort his opinion in the world, even if it may sound unfair or uncomfortable. There are just third persons to just it fairly, those who has no insistence would never be understood and just receive accusations that are based on insistence of its accuser. Honesty would not be just respected, but just be preyed on. Without knowing that the Japanese sense of feeling is quite peculiar in the world, there is no chance to understand behavior of foreigners on apology. That should be the reason for foreign businesspersons to have a big problem to survive in Japan. I just wonder if people can learn something from that. I just wonder if Japanese people can learn something from the case of Schindler to know the Japanese uniqueness.

Japan, the Country of 3Hs 2 3Hの国日本2
"I really enjoyed your article about Japan in weekend edition of last week. As you indicated, I also feel often that some Japanese people are suffered from hygiene irritation. However, I think it a violent assumption to say that Japanese would not shake hands because of that. Greeting in Japan in general is concluded by bowing. According to Japanese etiquette, it is not polite to touch other people's body. In the background of European people's tradition of shaking hands, there might be an implied idea to show hand to others will prove that he does not hide have anything to harm the other. Japanese bowing tradition however, is to expose defenseless pose and avert eyes for a moment from others, to show that he relies the other from the heart. Moreover, there is also a difference between European and Japanese, how two people get close to each other. When two of European people get to know well, their physical distance will be shortened. On the other hand, there can be seen a tendency about Japanese people that they try to keep more distance after getting to know each other. This can be easily explained by giving an example of trains in rush hour. Of course it is not possible to stay in the trains without touching or being touched by others, needless to say it is uncomfortable. However, if a people got the train with his accountants or business partners, they would feel more uncomfortable. After their relationship is more than strangers, it would not allow them to keep the zero distance.
In the truth, there is the tradition in Japan to shake hands. Under following situation it is often seen in the daily life in Japan;
1. Restoration of friendship after quarrel, especially by children, but usually they would be forced by adult people to do so.
2. At the ceremony of company merger or integration, both ex-presidents would shake hands in front of cameramen.
3. After baseball games, every players would shake hands with every member from other team.
4. To thank people for, for example, saving his life
5. To say good bye and thank the people, not knowing when to be able to see again.
Considering the situation about Judo or Kendo, that nobody would shake hands before and after the game but just bow, the shaking hands in baseball case might be come from USA with baseball itself. It speaks well that it might be, that soccer players would even hug on shoulders and exchange their shirts. When saying good bye, people usually mean thank you to have been working together or being kind. In briefly, Japanese shaking hands can be seen when something gets together with the other, or to show great thankful feeling to others. Therefore, usual greeting does not match both cases and Japanese do not think it necessary to shake hands."
In the truth, there is the tradition in Japan to shake hands. Under following situation it is often seen in the daily life in Japan;

Japan, the Country of 3 Hs 1 3H
I have a feeling that my eyes often catch articles about Japan in recent newspapers or magazines. Japan might have not been a country for European to travel to. They are desperate for sun lights and they head south in summer. But it seems that it changes gradually. Of course, it might be reasonable to think that most of them have visited every European country and want new stimulation. Addition to Japanese cars, Koreans with low price and high quality sell well these days and existence of China as a cheap products and work force provider cannot be neglected within the EU and starts to influence European industry negatively. Then general people would be interested in and curious for Asian countries. "Sushi" would stride as a representative of Japan and number of sushi bars increases greatly, it gets quite common to eat in Chinese restaurant with chopsticks, and for businessmen, they have more opportunities to travel to on business until their companies would build their own factories or developing block. It is often seen a plan of package tour in newspaper to travel through big cities especially in China or in Japan, still not so much in Korean. Moreover they also introduce custom and cultural difference in the weekend special edition for traveling. Especially since last year it gets more common. I have also found an article about "Japanese sleeping culture" more than once, that every Japanese can drop asleep everywhere.
The usual explanation about Japan in such articles are "a country of wonder". I myself use the word often to ask people around me for the project with Japanese customers that Japanese are aliens. This time I found the article in a newspaper very similar but in opposite way. The title of the article is "A country of 3 Hs, bowing is citizen's sport". These 3 Hs do not mean Japanese "H", but High-Tech, Höflichkeit(politeness) and Hygiene. Japanese people tend to take first letters of each of three words such as 3 Hs, tall, highly educated and high income for ideal man for women. These 3 Hs in the newspaper get the point straight and can be clearly distinguished from China or Korea. Needless to say about high-tech, Toyota is now about to be the world biggest automobile company in the world. Top ranks of the automotive producers whose cars have statistically less problems are occupied by Japanese companies. In the field of digital camera, fame of Japanese producers is apparently stable, for house appliances, it is so usual that many people do not even know that it is by Japanese companies. Politeness of Japanese are refereed to the business-card-exchanging tradition. This ceremony became a standard in industrialized countries. They do not just mimic Japanese style, but they think it also very efficient to exchange their cards before starting meeting and make the communication smooth. The last one, hygiene. I read many articles that treat "washlet". Naturally it also contains the context of high-tech. Approaching the toilet, its lid would be opened automatically, put out BGM for the people that mind to be heard from outside, and additionally, the toilet seat is warm! There are many buttons in the line and one can adjust the position of the water head and water pressure, then dries. For women there attached a button for bidet. W O N D E R. That taxi doors will be opened by driver automatically, because Japanese would regard it dirty. In the article I found also lines saying that Japanese would be surprised to be asked for hand shaking because of their idea that it is not very clean. I can agree that many Japanese people are addicted to antibacterial goods and thought that some people would hate to open taxi door by themselves. However, I was not able to agree to the speculation about hand shaking, I sent an e-mail to the newspaper.

Where are you going, Klimt?
The impressionism is well know to Japanese that are not especially interested in fine arts. There should almost be no Japanese that does not know Renoir or Van Goch. It is also well known abroad that Japanese love impressionism. Austria is for Japanese famous, of course because of Vienna or Salzburg, as a city of music, but also precious art collection should not be forgotten. Bruegel in the Art history museum, Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt in the Belvedere or in Museum Quarter. Tourism is one of the most important revenue source in Austria, Bruegel, Schiele or Klimt should be prayed all the time.
There was a judgment between the descendant of original possessor of five paintings of Klimt in Austrian treasure box and Austrian nation. These paintings used originally to be possessed by Adel Bloch Bauer and they were condemned illegally by the nation under Nazis time. The court judgment on 16th Jan. was to return these treasure to the original possessor. The portrait should be one of the most impressive paintings in Belvedere to whom once visited there, and it is in the same room where the very famous painting "The kiss" is.
According to experts, these five paintings together would cost about from 120 to 150 million Euro. Especially about this portrait below, they speculate that the price of this painting would exceed "A boy with a flute" by Picasso which has been the most expensive painting in the world. Fascinating touch peculiar by Klimt. The time when it was drawn, Klimt was criticized by society as same as Schiele that his paintings were erotic. I will never feel bored by just sitting and watching the painting for more than 10 minutes as I feel the same with "The kiss". The museum offers a big sofa in front of it.

The first reaction of the government was, it was too expensive to buy them back, but at the same time they recognized that it would be the huge loss for the nation. In recent newspapers, not only national newspapers but also regional one or in popular one, there were articles how the government tried to work with the money. As an art fan, I do not want the collection would be kept separately. I just wish that it would result in a positive end. A drunk had sent a blackmail to Belvedere that the painting would be destroyed to prevent that the paintings would be sent abroad, anyway, if I would be asked, I am ready to pay at least 300 Euro to keep them here.
It was the first week of April when these five paitings were returned to Mrs Maria=Altmann living in Los Angeles who is the niece of the model woman appering in Bloch=Bauer1. She told that these paintings were hung on the living room wall in her house in Switzlernad in her childhood. The value of these five paintings were estimated in the auction as 246 million euros. One of these paintings, "Houses on Atter lakes" (one of the lakes in Salzkammergut famous for its scenery), a museum in upper Austria is trying to buy it back and contacts Mr.Altmann, too. I have written that it is of course sad that a fine collection would be kept separately, however, when they were returned to whom it used to belong, I also feel somehow at ease. (added 04.07.2006)

Riot in China
Recently I received questions as a rare Japanese here. Today on one of national senders in Austria, a text book "New history textbook" by Fusosha appeared on TV for some seconds. And the sender told that one of the reasons of the riot might be that the textbook just touch the Nanking Massacre only slightly. However, the faces of demonstration participants seemed like the ones of marathon "participants". Nowadays in Japan, it might be usually treated in books that there are both pros and cons about the "Nanking Massacre", if it really happened. What I do not understand is, that why such result from the research will not be sent to the world from Japan. It is not a matter only between China and Korea. Japan should inform what she has as material and what she has in her mind now.
Precisely, why the authorized textbooks in Japan would cause such troubles? I will get the book from Japan this time again, but always textbook by only one publisher Fusosha is on the topic. I cannot help but feel some artificiality by someone. Surely every question and critic about the content of authorization must have been answered to both countries already. As far as such texts as "according to our generally accepted opinion..." and its reason and material do not reach other countries in English, Japan has not chance to be understood. This might be the quite common event such as spring labor offensive, it would bring usual people just a feeling, "ah, again". I wonder if the government really supports the research or its dispersion to the world.
To make matters worse, Japanese would be misunderstood by foreigners because of ambiguity. I prefer to be silent, but it is fatal not being ready to speak clearly when asked or in very need. Obviously fatal to negotiate with foreigners. Japanese tends to feel that accusation or criticism is same as disregarding personality. But it is in other countries completely different. It is impossible to survive in the world, being too innocent. It is definitely indispensable for Japan who exports products or technologies to the world. Japanese should be conscious that Japanese way of thinking is away from world standard. It is impossible for others to understand Japan. Japan should stroke forward and communicate in world standard way, or it will never succeed.

Business hour of supermarket
I wrote before that the shops here will be closed soon in the evening, there seems to be demands to let the business hours extended. In practical in lower Austria province next to started to new regulation so that they can open their shops until 19:30. The problem with us is that the Steyr lies on the border between upper and lower Austria, shops near the border are fear of being got rid of their customers by shops in lower Austria side. Other provinces take a stance to keep watching for a while, in any case it will be extended also here, I think.
