At a district of Steyr city Glenk, Martinifest was hold on this weekend.
It is so-to-say a Christmas market and they sell Christmas decoration, cheese, ham or honey from nearby farmers and of course Gluewein (warm wine).
The old timer bus will appear to transfer people from city square to the district, post office bus from 1950 made by Steyr Daimler Puch for 24 passenger with 5320cc diesel engine. Current form of this company is where I am now working for.
ついにチャルメラバスの季節になりました。（わたしが勝手にそう呼んでいるだけです） シュタイヤーのグレンクという地区で、この週末マルティニフェスティバルが開かれました。いわゆるクリスマスマーケットで、クリスマスの飾りを売ったり、チーズにハム、蜂蜜などの農産物、それからもちろんグリューワイン（暖かいワイン）などが並びます。
町の広場からの送迎バスが登場します。以前の郵便局が運営する５３２０ｃｃのディーゼルエンジンを積んだ２４人乗りバスで、１９５０年のシュタイヤーダイムラープフ製。この会社の現在の姿が今の職場です。
To let customers know that the bus arrives, the horn sounds like the one of Japanese ramen noodle stand :) Many people on the streets will wave their hands when the bus passes by.バスの到着を待っているお客さんに知らせるために、まるで日本のチャルメラのような音を出します。
バスが通過するたびに道端の人たちが手を振ってくれます。
First of all, I looked for where Gluehmost was sold, this is a kind of house wine out of pear or apples, and it is a speciality in lower Austria.まずグリューモストを売っている屋台を探します。これは梨やリンゴなどからつくる自家製酒で、ロワーオーストリアの名産です。
Steyr was developed by forging in old times, there was a hut where forging flower vase or decoration of house door was demonstrated and there house gates were sold.
シュタイヤーは中世に鍛治の町として発展しました。花差しや家のドアの飾りなどを作るところをお客さんに見せながら、門を売っている屋台もありました。
Full smell of cheese and sausages, there were some other huts selling decorations or pots, too.
From the next week, Christmas market in the center of Steyr will start. The city will look like fully in Christmas season, lots of tourists will swarm to Steyr to visit Christmas post office.
Lots of children in the world will write to Santa Claus and it reaches one of such six Christmas post offices in the world.
チーズやソーセージの匂いがする中、飾りや花瓶、セトモノを売っている屋台もありました。来週からシュタイヤーの中心でもクリスマスマーケットが始まります。街はクリスマス一色になり、沢山の観光客がクリスマス郵便局にやってきます。世界中の子供たちがサンタクロースに宛てて書いた手紙が世界に６箇所あるといわれるクリスマス郵便局に送られます。
