The more I got used to live like local people in Vienna, the less meaning I would find to write this blog. The only contact with Japanese society in Vienna was to play badminton or baseball.
ウィーンで現地の人間と同じように生活するのに慣れるにつれ、ブログを書く意味が薄れて行ったように思う。日本人社会とのコンタクトは、ここではバドミントンと野球をすることだけだ。
There are many ways to survive in a foreign country; to live within a Japanese society and refuse to contact outer world, or to just keep myself open to the local society.
外国で生き延びるには色々方法があるように思う。日本人社会の中だけで過ごし、外とのコンタクトを遮るか、自分をオープンに保って、地域社会に溶け込むか。
Any way, if I intended to or not, I am glad that I can speak German that many Austrian people would tell me that I speak perfect German, they respect my effort at least. To live in Austria, I thought I have to master German. This was very important for me from the very start and still now.
いずれにせよ、多くのドイツ人やオーストリア人には、完璧なドイツ語を話せると言われるくらいにはなったこと。これは喜ぶべきことだ。少なくとも、こちらの努力を認めてくれているのは間違いない。オーストリアで生活するのであれば、ドイツ語をマスターすることは必須だろうと思っていたし、来た当時でも今でもその思いは変わらない。
After living in Austria for 15 years, I still have sometimes problems to communicate with Austrian due to dialect, but the task I thought I should do is over.
15年ここに住んで、未だに方言で問題になることが多いけれど、それでも自分がやらないといけないことは終わったと思っている。
I kept this blog actually for me myself, as if it were a diary. To live abroad for the first time, was a big event for me. I wanted to keep my thought or feeling for me. Nothing was sure to come to Austria without knowing anybody. Now the time tells me that I need a new place. I still have no idea what to do or where to go, but I believe I can enjoy this again.
このブログは自分のために、日記のつもりで書いてきた。初めて海外に住むことは大きな意味のあることだった。自分が何を感じたのか、それを自分のためにも残したかった。何のコネもなく、知人もいない状況でオーストリアに来ることに、何の心配もなかった訳じゃない。ただ、今は又別の場所に行くべきだという声がする。どこで何をするかも分からないが、きっとまた新たな体験を楽しめるだろうと信じている。
Today, the first January 2018, I walked through the city. What I would miss to leave here should be,
1. The art history museum
2. many theaters and music halls where I heard world-class music
3. my favorite beer pub 1516
Of course I have some very nice friends here in Vienna, but I do not think that I will lose contact with them. It does not matter where we live. Really nice friends can be nice friends wherever we live, and with others that even live in Vienna, I would lose contact. It is quite normal and it cannot be avoided.
今日２０１８年１月１日、町を散歩してみる。ここを離れるにあたって残念だと思うのは、
１. 美術史美術館
２. たくさんの劇場に音楽ホール。素晴らしい演奏を聞かせてもらった。
３. 贔屓にしていた近所のビアパブ １５１６
もちろん、ウィーンにも気の置けない友人が数人いる。 でもウィーンを離れたからといって疎遠になるとは思わない。どこに住んでいようが、いい友人はいい友人だし、同じウィーンに住んでいても疎遠になる人はそうなる。それは当たり前のことで、どうにもならない。
We have many fears in our lives; for what we have never done before or for what we are not sure what would happen. Then we have just to try, otherwise we can never know if it might be correct or not. Or if we would love to do it or not. I want to keep honest to myself.
人生に不安はつきもの。これまでしたことのないことや、どうなるか分からないことなど。
そうしたら、試してみるしかない。そうじゃなければ、正しいかどうかも、自分がしたいことなのかどうかも分からない。これからも自分の気持ちには正直でいたい。

Ramen bar in Vienna ウィーンのラーメン専門店
I did not know about this new ramen bar for more than three months. I got no information that a Japanese is working there, but this is the first ramen shop in Vienna any way. This bar is just in front of the metro station Kettenbrückengasse.
このラーメン屋については3ヶ月以上知らなかった。そこで日本人が働いているとかいう話は聞いたことがないが、それでも正真正銘ウィーンで唯一のラーメン専門店だ。地下鉄のケッテンブルッケンガッセの目の前にある。
At the end of the bar, there is a small "garden" and the view from the table is beyond reality.
店の奥には小さな中庭があって、そこから眺める景色がなんとも現実離れしている。
I ordered gyoza and smoky ramen. Gyoza was cooked crispy and not that bad. Possibly too much ginger than we usually expect?
餃子にスモーキーラーメンを注文する。餃子はおいしくパリッと焼いてあって悪くはない。多分生姜が思っていたよりも多いかなという印象。
Ramen was also good as a whole. There were tiny things which might be better, but I really appreciate their courage to open the first ramen bar here. Austrian people are really very conservative about their taste preference. They seldom try something new.
ラーメンも全体的には悪くはなかった。もちろん細かいことを言えばキリがないが、それよりも、ここで最初のラーメン専門店をオープンした勇気を讃えたい。オーストリア人は味覚には極端に保守的で、めったに新しい味を試してみようとしない。
Japanese living in Vienna would give positive and constructive feedback to keep it for long time.
ウィーンの日本人が建設的なフィードバックをして長い目で育てていってあげたいと思う。

Watching soccer game サッカーを観戦する
One of my besebal players in our team who is working as a manager of Mr.Nakata, a famous soccer player, invited team members to the home game of SV Horn and First Vienna, together with those who was informed of via the organisation of Japanese society in Vienna. I went to watch the game with my friends who likes soccer.
うちの野球チームの一員で、サッカーの中田選手のマネージャーをされておられるKさんに、日本人会を通じて招待されたみなさんと一緒に、中田選手がオーナーになったホルンというチームのホームゲームに招待しますという連絡をもらい、SV Horn 対 First Vienna の試合を サッカーが好きな友人も誘って観戦してきた。
Horn is about one hour away from Vienna by car, busses came to transfer all of us to Horn and back to Vienna after the game. We got in one of the busses in front of Art History Museum. There is a soccer stadium in the middle of nothing in the country side. To watch sport beer and something to eat is necessary. And in this stadium we can have Japanese things like curry rice, yakisoba-noodle and nikuman besides typical Austrian fast food such as hotdogs or Leberkäsesemmel. This is wonderful.
ホルンまではウィーンから一時間ほどだが、バスの送迎付き。美術史美術館前に集合してバスに乗り込んだ。何もない田舎の真ん中にサッカー場がある。スポーツ観戦にビールとおつまみは欠かせないが、このサッカー場ではホットドッグ、レバーケーゼゼンメル以外に、日本人がやっている出店で、カレー、焼きそばに肉まんなども買える、夢のような特典付き。
開始すぐ、ファースト側の綺麗なシュートがゴール脇に逸れる。そしてまたしてもゴール前にチャンスボールが来るも、ホルンのキーパーがボールをクリア。その後もシュートチャンスをファーストがものに出来ず。
その後15分ほどして、今度はホルンが綺麗なシュートを決めてみんな立ち上がって大喜びするも、オフサイド。どちらのチームもなかなかいい動きをしているが、なかなか決まらない。前半残すところ１０分ほどで今度はキーパーが弾いたボールを押し込んだホルンが1点のリードで前半終了。
後半１５分ほどで、今度はチャンスボールを30メートルくらいの距離から左足で綺麗なシュートをゴール端に決め、ホルンが2点のリード。その後、ホルンに所属する日本人選手の一人、川中健太選手が登場。足が早くて動きが機敏。シュートチャンスにいいパスを出したり、本当に将来が楽しみな選手。後半残り１０分くらいにゴール前でシュートチャンスが２度あるも、どちらもキーパー正面。さらにもう一人の榊翔太選手も登場。川中選手よりもさらに小さいけれど、よく走る。
ファーストは2人のレッドカード退場。結局２ー０で完勝し、この日3部リーグ首位。

Christmas in Vienna ウィーンのクリスマス
On Dec 24. shops will be closed around 15:00, Christmas market will be also closed. Christmas trees for sale on the streets will finish their role, people are busy going out to buy food for Chritmas vacation. On Dec. 25, vacant streets, no cars, silence dominates.
クリスマスイブにはお店が15時あたりで閉まってしまう。クリスマスマーケットも後片付けを始め、通りで売られている、モミの木のクリスマスツリー、これもご用済み。スーパーが閉まってしまうので、クリスマスのお祝いの期間分の食料を買出しに出る人がたくさんいる。そして25日には、通りに人がいない、車もない、静かな街になる。
Only the Christmas markets at St.Stephen's Cathedral are open for tourists. But they do not have Glühmost at all. Lots of tourists are around the square.
シュテファン寺院のクリスマスマーケットだけは観光客用に開いている。でもグリューモストは売っていない。広場のまわりは観光客で賑わっている。
Later, around 20 o'clock, streets became almost empty except around Kärntner street.
20時を迎えるころには、通りも人がすっかり少なくなる。ケルントナー通りには観光客がまだちらほら。

Vienna Central Station ウィーン中央駅
There is the Central Station since a year and a half?, but it was from Dec. 13th 2015 when all international trains will leave from the station in Vienna.
ウィーンの中央駅はできて1年半ほどになると思うが、ウィーンからの全ての国際列車が中央駅から出発するようになったのはこの12月13日のことだ。
On the next day on Monday, I went to work for the first time from the Central Station.
次の日の月曜日、会社に行くのに始めて中央駅から出発した。
There are some positive aspects. First of all, the Central Station is nearer to the West station. I can reach the station by just one subway station and I can sleep ten minutes longer. Secondly, there were lots of commuters to St.Polten but many of them would not take trains from the Central Station. Many of them would take trains from the West Station due to another train company which is much cheaper than Austrian Railway company. It can be one of the reasons. Any way, the train is now less crowded.
いくつかいいことがある。まず第一に、中央駅は西駅よりも近く、地下鉄で一駅。10分長く寝られる。それから2つ目に、St.Pöltenへ通勤する人たちはあまりこちらの駅を利用しないこと。オーストリア国鉄よりもはるかに安い他の鉄道会社の列車が西駅から発着するのも理由かもしれない。いずれにせよ、あまり混雑しなくなった。
Now the commute to my office is under two hours by door to door. It is better any way and I have to be happy with it.
こうして、家から会社までの時間が2時間を切った。 いいことには間違いないし、喜ばない訳には行かない。

Final 4 part3 2015 ２０１５年ファイナル4 その３
The last game was against the Lawnmowers. All the other teams won once and lost twice or once by this time. If our team would win, we would be definately champion but if we would lose, the
Lawnmowers also would be with 2 wins and 1 lost, then it would cause complication.
最後の試合の相手はLownmowers。その他のチームはこれまでに1勝1敗か1勝2敗。ここで試合に勝てば文句なく優勝だが、負けるようなことになればLownmowersも2勝1敗になり、どちらが優勝になるのかがはっきりしない。
We started the game and all of a sudden we lost 8 runs by the 2nd inning. We gathered and talked to each other that we earn run one by one to catch up. The oppoment was too happy to keep calm at all.
試合を開始してすぐ、2回までにあれよあれよと言う間に8点を許してしまった。みんなで集まって、あせらず１点づつ返していこうと声を掛け合う。相手チームはもう有頂天になっている。
I think our team members were calm and did not give up at all. In the 3rd inning, our batting exploded: 5 walks and 5 hits, 8 RBIs. Caught up!
チームのみんなは落ち着いて見えたし、ゲームを諦めているようにも見えなかった。そして3回裏にうちの打線が爆発した。５つのファーボールを選び、5本のヒットで8打点。追いついた！
In my turn, we already scored 3 runs and runners were on the first and the second. Our manager sent me a sign for bunt to advance runners and also try safety bunt. The third base man was in regular position and I aimed the first pitch, was rather high and it should have been ball, if I did not hit. The ball rolled on the third base line and in the middle of the home and third base. I ran toward the first base without watching where the ball was. Safe! It was a perfect bunt.
僕の打席が回ってきたときには、3点を返してランナー1、2塁の場面。監督はランナーを送るサインを出してきた。しかもセーフティーを狙え。相手側の三塁手は通常の守備位置におり、全くバントを警戒していない。これは初球を狙うしかない。やや高めの球で見逃せばボールだったが、球は三塁ライン上の丁度3塁と本塁の間くらいに転がった。ボールの行方を確認せず、とにかく1塁に駆け込む。セーフ！完璧なバントになった。
After that we caught up 8 runs difference, we continue to hit from the oponent pitcher and won the game by 14 to 12. Yes, we are champion 2015!
その後、8点差を追いついて気分的に楽になってからは相手のピッチャーから打ち続け、14対12で勝利。チームジャパンついに2015年のチャンピオンに！

Feeling very nice from the game yesterday, we had two more games to play to be a champion of this year 2015. We saw the result of other games the day before, we thought the game
against Originals was the key; our team played twice against Originals
in pre tournament and the result was even: 1 won, 1 lost.
前日の勝利で気分よく迎えた翌日、2015年のチャンピオンまであと2試合。前日の他チームの試合結果を見る限り、一試合目のOriginalsとの試合が山になりそうだ。予選では2試合して１勝１敗だった。
Then the oppoment sent the pitcher to the mound who pitched in the last game we completely lost. Our manager sent the pichter who pitched the day before.
We hit well this time and made the game almost one-sided on the 5th inning: 11 to 3.
相手は前回の試合でいいように抑えられたピッチャーを先発に持ってきた。チームジャパンの監督は前日のゲームで完投したピッチャーを指名。今回はジャパンの打線が圧倒し、5回までに11対3と一方的な試合展開になる。
On the first half of 6th inning, our pitcher changed to the releaf pitcher and he was caught; he was not able to throw strike and accumulated walks one after another. He is a great stopper but maybe the umpire was too strict at the corner balls. He gave 6 runs.
6回表にリリーフピッチャーを送った当たりから、リリーフが捕まった。なかなかストライクが入らず、ファーボールでランナーを塁に出していく。彼は素晴らしいストッパーだが、この日の主審はどうもコーナーの判定が辛かったようだ。ここで6失点。
Our batter in 4, 5 and 6th order hit all through the game and we won the game by 15 to 13. It was close. I had no hit in this game.
こちらの打線の4番から6番は試合を通して相手ピッチャーを打ち続け、試合は15対13で終了。かなり際どい試合だった。この試合はヒットなしで終わった。

On the first half of 6th inning, our pitcher changed to the releaf pitcher and he was caught; he was not able to throw strike and accumulated walks one after another. He is a great stopper but maybe the umpire was too strict at the corner balls. He gave 6 runs.
6回表にリリーフピッチャーを送った当たりから、リリーフが捕まった。なかなかストライクが入らず、ファーボールでランナーを塁に出していく。彼は素晴らしいストッパーだが、この日の主審はどうもコーナーの判定が辛かったようだ。ここで6失点。
Our batter in 4, 5 and 6th order hit all through the game and we won the game by 15 to 13. It was close. I had no hit in this game.
こちらの打線の4番から6番は試合を通して相手ピッチャーを打ち続け、試合は15対13で終了。かなり際どい試合だった。この試合はヒットなしで終わった。

Final4 part1 2015 ２０１５年ファイナル4 その１
I was wondering what I was doing since last post. I was actually busy for work, I did not work overtime or weekend, but I was always thinking. I had some telephone interview with some Japanese head hunters, too. Slowly I have to think about my future, if I stay her or find somewhere else. I am not the kind of person who can treat many things at the same time.
前回の記事から既に半年。何をしていたのかと思う。確かに仕事は忙しかった。といってもそれほど残業しているわけでもなく、週末に仕事をしたというのでもない。日本のヘッドハンターさんたちと電話インタビューも何度かしていた。そろそろ、ここに残るか、また別のところに行くか考える時期になってきた。自分は一度にたくさんのことをできない人間なのだと思う。
In June, July we had baseball games almost every Sunday. Our team somehow survived and pass the pre tournament season at the top out of five teams.
The final four, in which two top teams from two different groups in the league would participate and decide this year's league champion took place on last weekend.
6月、７月はほぼ毎週日曜日に野球の試合があった。われわれのチームはなんとかシーズンをグループ内5チームのうちのトップで通過。そしてリーグ内の２グループの予選上位２チーム同士、4チームの総当たり戦でリーグのチャンピオンを決める、ファイナル４がこの週末に行われた。
The first game on Saturday in Traiskirchen, we were playing against the leading team of the other group. A pitcher with very low average earned runs and the most strike outs in the whole league would come up. We never played with the team before. Actually he did throw a fast ball.
Our team had the highest batting average, for 4 innings our bat kept silent. Our eyes were not used to the speed of the team, it was much faster than those of other teams we played until then. The game proceeded without any runs from both teams.
初日の土曜日、トライスキルヒェンで行われた試合の対戦相手は、別グループを首位通過したチームで、リーグ中で一番防御率が低く奪三振の多いピッチャーが出てくることが予想された。対戦したことはなかったが、実際になかなか速い球を投げる。
うちのチームはリーグで一番のチーム打率だったが、4回まで当たりなし。それまで対戦していたチームのピッチャーとはスピードが違った。ゲームは両チームとも点が入らず投手戦になる。
After one round, we started to adjust our eyes to the ball; we succeeded to earn three runs and made the pitcher out of mound. We further earned runs and had 5 runs leading on the last 7th inning.
打者一巡して、ようやくボールに少しづつ目が慣れたころから当たりが出だし。3点を奪ってそのピッチャーを引きずり落とした。その後も点を稼いで、最終回の７回には5点差がついていた。
On the latter half of the 7th inning, we gave the opponent team squeeze, timely hit and then the big three run home run. We got even again! The last year, we had a similar situation; our opponent had a huge home run on the first half of the extended inning and took over our team, then we were not able to get any runs on the latter half and let the champion title escape from our hands. I was on the right field, as same as this time, and I felt for an instance as if I saw a déjà vu.
そして最終回の７回裏、われわれは相手にスクイズ、タイムリーヒット、そして特大3ランを打たれ、土壇場で振り出しに戻ってしまった！ 去年のFinal４も最終回の表に相手チームに特大ホームランを打たれて逆転され、その裏は結局打てずに優勝できなかった。ちょうどその時もライトを守っていて、ボールが同じような角度でレフトのネットを大きく越えて言った。一瞬デジャビューのような気がした。
However, we did not have any reluctant feeling this time, we just start again. On the first extra inning, after getting one run, my turn came with the runner loaded on the second and the third base, two outs. I did not have any pressure but just wished to have more runs to make our pitcher feel easier. One run lead is too little for pitcher. I thought I might aim above the head of second base man to make our runners come home. The ball went through the right side of the second baseman to the center field. We earned 2 more runs.
でも、チームにはそれほど落胆した雰囲気はなく、また振り出しに戻ったという感じだった。延長に入って1点を返し、更に２アウトランナー２、３塁で打順が回ってきた。１点では心許ない。なんとかピッチャーを楽にしてあげたいな。セカンドの頭を越えるくらいでランナーを帰したいなくらいに思ってバットを振った。プレッシャーとかは全然なかったと思う。打球はセカンドの右をセンター前に抜けて行った。ランナーが還り２点リード。
Today, I worked well on fielding as well as batting. A precious win for the next day.
今日は守備でもバッティングでもいい仕事ができたように思う。次の日につながる貴重な勝利だった。

Try 3D printer 2 3次元プリンタを使ってみる その2
The design was the perfect fit as I imagined. Surface was rough, but it was within my expectation. First I thought of epoxy resin, but it was a bit more elastic than my expectation. I made the thickness for 2.5mm, it was really the correct design, I thought.
設計通りの出来でした。表面が荒かったのも予想の範疇でした。エポキシ樹脂のようなものを考えていましたが、それよりももっと弾力性のある材質で、肉厚を2.5ミリにしておいたのは正解でした。
Every time a customer came in the cafe, I heard that slightly ringing in the kitchen.
3D printer seemed totally to be an unfamilier idea of most of them, it took some time until they somehow understood. I had a viewer installed in my cellular phone and they somehow understood when I showed them the data I designed which is exactly as same as the sensor holder.
お客さんが入ってくる度にキッチンの奥で微かにチャイムが鳴っているのが聞こえます。
3次元プリンタというのは、まだなかなか馴染みがないようで、理解してもらうのに随分説明が必要でした。携帯にインストールしてあったビュワーで、プリントしてもらうのに送った３Dデータを見せて、ようやく何となく分かってもらえた感じ。

Try 3D printer 1 3次元プリンタを使ってみる その１
I once asked Ewa if it might be nice to have such the product to inform her in the kitchen if somebody comes in the cafe; motion detector and funk apparatus. She was very happy to try it. However, maybe due to the trouble in production lot? Sensor was not very sensitive and I sent the product back.
以前こんなものあったらいいんじゃない？と、カフェの店主のエヴァがキッチンにいるときに来客があってもそれを知らせてくれる、とあるメーカーのセンサーと音声発生器を勧めてみた。本人はそれは助かるというが、残念なことに生産ロットの不具合か、センサーが思ったように反応してくれなかったので、返品することになった。
Another product I found this time, it is visible that the sensor reacts with the light, and the tone can be set in two diffierent volumes, and also put totally off by switch. This is a very nice feature. I tried them at home at first, it works fine. This product is made by Poland by chance. Maybe it suites well in the Polish cafe.
今回見つけた製品はセンサーが反応した時にランプが点滅するのと、音源の音量の大小、それからオフの切り替えができるもの。前モデルのように音声は変えられないが、コンセントから抜かなくともスイッチでオフにできるのは親切設計。カフェに持っていく前に家で試してみる。なかなかいい感じだ。この製品は偶然にもポーランド製。ポーランドのカフェに取り付けるにはピッタリかもしれない。
However, it is not very easy to attach near the entrance door; the sensor and speaker has screw hole on the back so that it can be hung on the wall. It is supposed to detect the people coming from side to side in front of the sensor.
Unfortunately there is no wall available. Even worse that the door is near to the counter or tables and the sensor can detect customers to go to the rest room and it should be somehow avoided. Outside of the door there should not be such the problem, but better to put sensor in closed room to prevent rain or wind.

On Saturday, I went to one of the big DIY centers in Vienna and tried to find something I might be able to use/modify. But there wasn't. There is no such a shop like Tokyu-Hands here where we can find any kind of aaha useful goods. An idea hit me when I thought that I cannot find anything anywhere in Vienna.
土曜日に大型DIYショップに行って何か使えそうなものはないかとうろうろしてみるが、どうにもうまくいきそうにない。 ハンズのように痒いところに手が届くようなグッズはこちらには売っていない。これはどこに行っても望みなしだろうなというところでふと思いついた。
My friend from my high school who teaches design at a Japanese university is now in Milan for his research/training. He sometimes post interesting issues about 3D printer in facebook. Maybe there is somewhere where I can use the 3D printer in Vienna? and I googled. Yes yes! It is like a copy shop; customer would bring original and they can make copies. I can send 3D CAD data and they will print it out. There is size limit abut what I need is within the size limit and there is no problem that I can design anything what I need. The shop is in the 3rd district and is not very. 3D printer shop.
大学でデザイン関係の教職に携わる高校時代の友人が今ミラノで修行しており、Facebookのポストでも３Dプリンタについていろいろと面白い話をアップしている。もしかしてレンタルできるプリンターがないかと思って早速ググってみると、ありました、ありました！ コピーショップで原稿をコピーしてもらうのと同じ感覚で、３DCADのデータを送ればプリントしてくれる。大きさに制限はあるけれど、必要なものはそれ以下のサイズだし、しかもこれなら自分でデザインできるから何の問題もない。 しかも家からそう遠くはない3区にある。３Dプリンタショップ
Major problem has been solved, then the question is, which CAD to use. I do not think it a problem to model, because I worked with IDEAS or CATIA, but I would rather find a software to use at home. And of course for free! I checked the file format for printing and googled free 3D-CAD for Linux. I got it. FreeCAD is Open Source project under SourceForge which I have to do with at job all the time. GUI of the software seems very nice, too.
問題はクリアしたが、次に何のソフトを使うか。３D-CADはIDEASやCATIAを使ったことがあるから作図自体は問題ないが、できれば家で作業できるフリーのソフトを選びたい。お店が取り扱ってくれるフォーマットを調べて、そのフォーマットで出力できるフリーの３DCADをまたググってみると、あったあった。Ubuntuでも使えるものがある。FreeCADは仕事でもいつもお世話になっているSourceForgeのフリーソフトで、GUIもなかなかいい感じに仕上がっている。
I just installed the software and tried for some time, but I needed some tutorial training. This software is young and still instable? but it is easy to use and somehow similar to CATIA. In about for productive 4 hours (in total 7 hours) I finished modeling and exported into IGES format. I sent the data to the shop to let them check if it is printable.
早速インストールして、適当に使ってみるが、細かい使い勝手が分からないので、一応チュートリアルで少しモデリング作業を勉強してみる。まだリリースして間もないせいか、度々落ちるがまあしょうがない。CATIAに似た感じの操作で、すぐに勝手が掴めた。実作業時間4時間ほど（正味7時間といったところか）で完成。これをIGESフォーマットで保存し、さっそくお店に製作可能かどうかを確かめてもらうべくデータを送ってみる。

Let European eat curry rice カレーを食べさせてみる
I have never done something special for my birthday, this year I asked Ewa, owner of my regular cafe, that I want to cook something for others. This time, I wanted to let others eat curry rice.
これまで自分の誕生日には何もしてこなかったが、今年は馴染みのカフェのオーナーのエヴァに、みんなに何か作って食べさせたいと頼んだ。今回はカレーを作ってみることにした。
I had lots of vacation left and I took a long weekend from Thursday and started cooking curry.
未消化の休暇がたくさんあったので、木曜日から休みにしてカレーを作り始める。
The next day, I brought the pot cafefully to the cafe. I cooked 750g rice. Ewa called some regular guests that are eager to eat my dishes. While we were waiting that all of them came, I cooked edamame and served. This is also the first try. I told them that edamame is must to drink beer in Japan.
翌日、鍋をカフェまで気をつけて運ぶ。今回は5合分の米を炊いた。エヴァが常連客の何人かに電話をして呼んでくれた。結構僕の作る料理を食べたいと言っている客がいるらしい。 みんなが来るのを待つ間に今回初めて枝豆を出してみた。みんなには、枝豆は日本ではビールと飲むときには欠かせないと説明しておいた。
Whenever I cooked at the cafe I would usually cook little than that but always about the half of it was left. This time the whole rice went away at once. They all loved their first curry rice.
ここで何かを作るときには大体4合を炊くが、いつもだいたい半分くらい残る。でも今回はあっという間になくなった。みんな初めて食べるカレーに大喜びだった。
Then after a while, Ewa disappered in the kitchen and then came back with a cake with 5 candles to the counter. And I also got presents from some people. It was the first time to get Sacher torte as a present.
しばらくしてエヴァがキッチンに行って、5本のロウソクが立ったケーキを持って戻ってきた。それに数人からプレゼントをもらった。ザッハートルテをプレゼントでもらうのはこれが初めてだった。

Sukiyaki 2014 すき焼き２０１４
On the last day of this year at the regular cafe/pub, I was asked by the owner Ewa to cook something for other regular customers. I prepared sukiyaki.
行きつけのカフェのオーナーのエヴァに頼まれて、今年最後の営業日に常連客を呼んですき焼きを振る舞うことになりました。
This time, I used the rice from my uncle which I really like and ate very slowly and carefully.
お米は叔父が作っているコシヒカリですが、これまで大事に食べてきました。
I cooked rice with eringi, abura-age (tofu bag) and soybean, made warishita (sotosay soup for this dish), cut vegetables and then put them all into Nanbu-Iron pot.
エリンギと油揚げ、枝豆をご飯に混ぜて炊き、割り下を作り、野菜を切り、後は南部鉄のすき焼き鍋の出番です。
Well, now is surely the season for sukiyaki.
やっぱりこのシーズンにはすき焼きですね。
Only the owner Ewa asked me "Hey, what is this rice?" as soon as she put it into her mouth, knowing the rice was something special, but for others there seemed to be no difference. However, they liked sukiyaki with distinct taste.
オーナーのエヴァだけが、口にするなり「何このお米？」と、米が特別なものだというのに気がついたようですが、他の人には味の違いは分からないようでしたが、味の濃いすき焼きは好評でした。

World travel in Vienna ウィーンで世界旅行をする
I visited again one of the most amazing events in Vienna. International Bazar organized by the United Nations.
ウィーンで一番素晴らしいイベントの一つ、国連主催のインターナショナルバザーに今年も参加した。
The first station was Spain as last time, a friend of mine was working there as a volunteer. I wanted to have paella but it was already sold out as same as last time. So I had pudding there.
最初は前回同様スペイン。友人がボランティアとしてお手伝いをしている。パエリアが欲しかったがやっぱり昨年同様既に売り切れていた。プリンを食べる。
The second station, I chose Croatia. And had strukli, which is out of cream and fresh cheese in a dumpling.
次はクロアチアにした。クリームと生チーズを生地に巻いた、ストゥルックリという食べ物を試してみる。
Last year, I tried dishes from Nepal or from India, I did something different this time. I went to Poland to have beer and a soup called zurek, a sour soup with sausages and potatoes.
前回はネパールやインドの食べ物を試したので、今回は違うものを探してみる。ポーランドに行って、ポーランド南部のジュヴィェツというビールとジュレクというソーセージとジャガイモの入った少し酸っぱいスープを食べる。
It was very cold outside, the soup made me warm enough from inside. I went further to Thailand and had some seafood noodle, phad Thai. I ate already enough, I switched to drink more.
外はとても寒かったので、スープでやっと体の中から温まった。次にタイに行ってファド＝タイという魚介類の入った麺を注文する。もうお腹が一杯になってきた。これからは飲み物の時間。
In Argentina, lots of people were waiting for steak burger. But I bought tickets for wine.
アルゼンチンではみんなステーキバーガーを注文して待っていたが、こちらはワインのチケットを購入。
I had some sweets in the Phillipines,
フィリピンでは甘いものを食べ、
And I bought a hat in Ecuador.
エクアドルでは帽子を買った。
Then in Serbia, South Africa and back in Spain, I bought bottles of wine.
その後、セルビア、南アフリカ、さらにスペインに戻ってワインを買う。
And on the way around, I bought maple cookies in Canaca,

3時間ほどうろうろする。最高に楽しかった。 こうしてこの日一日売上は世界中の恵まれない子供たちを助けるために使われるそうである。
ウィーンで一番素晴らしいイベントの一つ、国連主催のインターナショナルバザーに今年も参加した。
The first station was Spain as last time, a friend of mine was working there as a volunteer. I wanted to have paella but it was already sold out as same as last time. So I had pudding there.
最初は前回同様スペイン。友人がボランティアとしてお手伝いをしている。パエリアが欲しかったがやっぱり昨年同様既に売り切れていた。プリンを食べる。
The second station, I chose Croatia. And had strukli, which is out of cream and fresh cheese in a dumpling.
次はクロアチアにした。クリームと生チーズを生地に巻いた、ストゥルックリという食べ物を試してみる。
Last year, I tried dishes from Nepal or from India, I did something different this time. I went to Poland to have beer and a soup called zurek, a sour soup with sausages and potatoes.
前回はネパールやインドの食べ物を試したので、今回は違うものを探してみる。ポーランドに行って、ポーランド南部のジュヴィェツというビールとジュレクというソーセージとジャガイモの入った少し酸っぱいスープを食べる。
It was very cold outside, the soup made me warm enough from inside. I went further to Thailand and had some seafood noodle, phad Thai. I ate already enough, I switched to drink more.
外はとても寒かったので、スープでやっと体の中から温まった。次にタイに行ってファド＝タイという魚介類の入った麺を注文する。もうお腹が一杯になってきた。これからは飲み物の時間。
In Argentina, lots of people were waiting for steak burger. But I bought tickets for wine.

Octoberfest オクトーバーフェスト
Not only in Munich, there are lots of local Octoberfests. They order beer by 1 litter glass and eat pretzel and white sausage. There is a special music for this festival and then they dance to the music.
ミュンヘンだけではなく、地方でもオクトーバーフェストは多数あります。一リットルのグラスでオーダーするビールに、プレッツェルと白ソーセージ。音楽もそれ用のものがあり、みんな音楽に合わせて踊ります。オーストリアには所謂民族衣装があり、結婚式、パーティーなどで着る人が多くみられます。男性の衣装をトラッハテン、女性の衣装をディルンドゥルと呼びます。
In Austria they have their tradittional costume, they would put it on at a wedding ceremony or at a party. Man's wear is called Trachten, women's wear is called Dirndl. I have lived in Austria already 12 years, I started to think that I would buy one. The owner of nearby bar told me that they are going to have Octoberfest, I thought it a nice opportunity to procure some. Trachten consists of leather pants, a checkerd shirt, a hut with feather.
オーストリアにももう１２年目。そろそろ揃えてもいいころだと思っていたところで、近所のバーでオクトーバーフェストをするというので、いい機会だと思って揃えてみました。トラッハテンは革パンツにチェック柄のシャツ。そして帽子には羽がついているもので一揃え。
Some of the regular guests and the owner were in Dirndl. Nobody thought that I would come in Trachten, many other guests took my pictures. It is fun sometimes to escape from reality.
数人の常連客と店のオーナーが衣装を着ていました。僕がこんな衣装を着て来るとは誰も思っていなかったようで、みんなから写真を撮られました。たまにはこういう現実逃避も楽しいものです。

We won the vice champion 2014 2014年 リーグ準優勝しました
This year, out team won the preliminary league at the first place and then the second place at final 4 match out of two leaders from both Landesliga East A and B groups with the result 2 win and 1 lost.
今年度、ランデスリーグ東地区のA、Bグループ各６チームづつの予選リーグを首位で通過して、各グループの上位２チームづつの４チームで行われた総当たり戦を２勝１敗として、２０１４年のリーグ準優勝を果たしました。
Now let me explain a little about baseball in Austria.
They started to play baseball after the settlement of American army after the War. After the American army retreated from Austria in 1955, playing the baseball became less and less popular. However, from 80s it started again and there were three baseball teams registered in Vienna.
Austrian Baseball League (ABL) is the professional baseball league in Austria and it was established in 1983 as one of subdivisions of Condereration of European Baseball (CEB) and as the united baseball and softball federation. As of 2014, there are six teams in the first league, and in the league beneath (Bundesliga) there are also six teams.
There are two more leagues, the third and the fourth league. The third (regional league) consists of Central, East and West, there are 16 teams in total. The fourth (Landesliga) consists of EastA, EastB, Tirol and Upper Austria, there are 19 teams all together. Beside these, there are leagues for youngstars such as U18 or U15.

2011年には地域リーグ東ブロックで優勝しました。その後転勤でこちらに来ていた人たちが日本に帰国、昨年はリーグで最下位になりました。地域リーグは毎回のダブルヘッダーでの試合形式のため、ピッチャーが2人以上いないと試合になりません。
This year, we decided to play in the lower league and tried to find new members. It is already certain that three of our current members will be returning to Japan this year, we will still have problem to play in the next season. I am happy any way to win the vice champion title from our current circumstance.
今年はリーグを下げて、新しいメンバーを集めることにしました。現状のメンバーの3人が日本に帰国することが決まっていますので、来年も人集めに苦労するのは間違いありませんが、こういう状態で望んだシーズンで準優勝できたことはほっとしています。
