Kaiware daikon sprout カイワレ大根

I was asked to cook sushi this time at my regular bistro. I always told Ewa that I do not want to cook anything which people can go somewhere to buy. But she was stubborn and insisted this time that she wants sushi. So I thought of making Temaki (selfrolled) sushi. In the supermarket I cannot find kaiware daikon, I ordered seeds from Germany. This box with 150g seeds is 4.5 Euro.

常連のビストロで今回は寿司を作れという話になった。エヴァにはいつも、どこかに行って買えるようなものだったら作らないと言っているんだが、今回は頑固に寿司が食いたいと言う。そこで手巻きすしならと。スーパーではカイワレ大根は見つからないので、ドイツから種を取り寄せる。この150g入りの箱で4.5ユーロ。


The weather was not very fine and the seeds did not grow well, but in three days with sunshine, it started to grow slowly. Actually I have to cook for about 12 to 13 people, I wonder if it might be enough.. Definitely not.

天気が良くなかったのでなかなか芽を出さなかったが、この3日間のいい天気のおかげで少しづつ育ってきた。実際12~3人かそれ以上の人に振る舞わないといけないが、これで足りるのか、かなり疑問。
