Final 4 part3 2015 ２０１５年ファイナル4 その３

The last game was against the Lawnmowers. All the other teams won once and lost twice or once by this time. If our team would win, we would be definately champion but if we would lose, the Lawnmowers also would be with 2 wins and 1 lost, then it would cause complication.

最後の試合の相手はLownmowers。その他のチームはこれまでに1勝1敗か1勝2敗。ここで試合に勝てば文句なく優勝だが、負けるようなことになればLownmowersも2勝1敗になり、どちらが優勝になるのかがはっきりしない。

We started the game and all of a sudden we lost 8 runs by the 2nd inning. We gathered and talked to each other that we earn run one by one to catch up. The oppoment was too happy to keep calm at all.

試合を開始してすぐ、2回までにあれよあれよと言う間に8点を許してしまった。みんなで集まって、あせらず１点づつ返していこうと声を掛け合う。相手チームはもう有頂天になっている。

I think our team members were calm and did not give up at all. In the 3rd inning, our batting exploded: 5 walks and 5 hits, 8 RBIs. Caught up!

チームのみんなは落ち着いて見えたし、ゲームを諦めているようにも見えなかった。そして3回裏にうちの打線が爆発した。５つのファーボールを選び、5本のヒットで8打点。追いついた！

In my turn, we already scored 3 runs and runners were on the first and the second. Our manager sent me a sign for bunt to advance runners and also try safety bunt. The third base man was in regular position and I aimed the first pitch, was rather high and it should have been ball, if I did not hit. The ball rolled on the third base line and in the middle of the home and third base. I ran toward the first base without watching where the ball was. Safe! It was a perfect bunt.

僕の打席が回ってきたときには、3点を返してランナー1、2塁の場面。監督はランナーを送るサインを出してきた。しかもセーフティーを狙え。相手側の三塁手は通常の守備位置におり、全くバントを警戒していない。これは初球を狙うしかない。やや高めの球で見逃せばボールだったが、球は三塁ライン上の丁度3塁と本塁の間くらいに転がった。ボールの行方を確認せず、とにかく1塁に駆け込む。セーフ！完璧なバントになった。

After that we caught up 8 runs difference, we continue to hit from the oponent pitcher and won the game by 14 to 12. Yes, we are champion 2015!

その後、8点差を追いついて気分的に楽になってからは相手のピッチャーから打ち続け、14対12で勝利。チームジャパンついに2015年のチャンピオンに！

Final 4 part2 2015 ２０１５年ファイナル4 その２

Feeling very nice from the game yesterday, we had two more games to play to be a champion of this year 2015. We saw the result of other games the day before, we thought the game against Originals was the key; our team played twice against Originals in pre tournament and the result was even: 1 won, 1 lost.

前日の勝利で気分よく迎えた翌日、2015年のチャンピオンまであと2試合。前日の他チームの試合結果を見る限り、一試合目のOriginalsとの試合が山になりそうだ。予選では2試合して１勝１敗だった。

Then the oppoment sent the pitcher to the mound who pitched in the last game we completely lost. Our manager sent the pichter who pitched the day before.
We hit well this time and made the game almost one-sided on the 5th inning: 11 to 3.

相手は前回の試合でいいように抑えられたピッチャーを先発に持ってきた。チームジャパンの監督は前日のゲームで完投したピッチャーを指名。今回はジャパンの打線が圧倒し、5回までに11対3と一方的な試合展開になる。

On the first half of 6th inning, our pitcher changed to the releaf pitcher and he was caught; he was not able to throw strike and accumulated walks one after another. He is a great stopper but maybe the umpire was too strict at the corner balls. He gave 6 runs.

6回表にリリーフピッチャーを送った当たりから、リリーフが捕まった。なかなかストライクが入らず、ファーボールでランナーを塁に出していく。彼は素晴らしいストッパーだが、この日の主審はどうもコーナーの判定が辛かったようだ。ここで6失点。

Our batter in 4, 5 and 6th order hit all through the game and we won the game by 15 to 13. It was close. I had no hit in this game.

こちらの打線の4番から6番は試合を通して相手ピッチャーを打ち続け、試合は15対13で終了。かなり際どい試合だった。この試合はヒットなしで終わった。

Final4 part1 2015 ２０１５年ファイナル4 その１

I was wondering what I was doing since last post. I was actually busy for work, I did not work overtime or weekend, but I was always thinking. I had some telephone interview with some Japanese head hunters, too. Slowly I have to think about my future, if I stay her or find somewhere else. I am not the kind of person who can treat many things at the same time.

前回の記事から既に半年。何をしていたのかと思う。確かに仕事は忙しかった。といってもそれほど残業しているわけでもなく、週末に仕事をしたというのでもない。日本のヘッドハンターさんたちと電話インタビューも何度かしていた。そろそろ、ここに残るか、また別のところに行くか考える時期になってきた。自分は一度にたくさんのことをできない人間なのだと思う。 

In June, July we had baseball games almost every Sunday. Our team somehow survived and pass the pre tournament season at the top out of five teams.

The final four, in which two top teams from two different groups in the league would participate and decide this year's league champion took place on last weekend.

6月、７月はほぼ毎週日曜日に野球の試合があった。われわれのチームはなんとかシーズンをグループ内5チームのうちのトップで通過。そしてリーグ内の２グループの予選上位２チーム同士、4チームの総当たり戦でリーグのチャンピオンを決める、ファイナル４がこの週末に行われた。

The first game on Saturday in Traiskirchen, we were playing against the leading team of the other group. A pitcher with very low average earned runs and the most strike outs in the whole league would come up.  We never played with the team before. Actually he did throw a fast ball.

Our team had the highest batting average, for 4 innings our bat kept silent. Our eyes were not used to the speed of the team, it was much faster than those of other teams we played until then. The game proceeded without any runs from both teams.

初日の土曜日、トライスキルヒェンで行われた試合の対戦相手は、別グループを首位通過したチームで、リーグ中で一番防御率が低く奪三振の多いピッチャーが出てくることが予想された。対戦したことはなかったが、実際になかなか速い球を投げる。

うちのチームはリーグで一番のチーム打率だったが、4回まで当たりなし。それまで対戦していたチームのピッチャーとはスピードが違った。ゲームは両チームとも点が入らず投手戦になる。

After one round, we started to adjust our eyes to the ball; we succeeded to earn three runs and made the pitcher out of mound. We further earned runs and had 5 runs leading on the last 7th inning.

打者一巡して、ようやくボールに少しづつ目が慣れたころから当たりが出だし。3点を奪ってそのピッチャーを引きずり落とした。その後も点を稼いで、最終回の７回には5点差がついていた。

On the latter half of the 7th inning, we gave the opponent team squeeze, timely hit and then the big three run home run. We got even again! The last year, we had a similar situation; our opponent had a huge home run on the first half of the extended inning and took over our team, then we were not able to get any runs on the latter half and let the champion title escape from our hands. I was on the right field, as same as this time, and I felt for an instance as if I saw a déjà vu.

そして最終回の７回裏、われわれは相手にスクイズ、タイムリーヒット、そして特大3ランを打たれ、土壇場で振り出しに戻ってしまった！ 去年のFinal４も最終回の表に相手チームに特大ホームランを打たれて逆転され、その裏は結局打てずに優勝できなかった。ちょうどその時もライトを守っていて、ボールが同じような角度でレフトのネットを大きく越えて言った。一瞬デジャビューのような気がした。

However, we did not have any reluctant feeling this time, we just start again. On the first extra inning, after getting one run, my turn came with the runner loaded on the second and the third base, two outs. I did not have any pressure but just wished to have more runs to make our pitcher feel easier. One run lead is too little for pitcher. I thought I might aim above the head of second base man to make our runners come home. The ball went through the right side of the second baseman to the center field. We earned 2 more runs.

でも、チームにはそれほど落胆した雰囲気はなく、また振り出しに戻ったという感じだった。延長に入って1点を返し、更に２アウトランナー２、３塁で打順が回ってきた。１点では心許ない。なんとかピッチャーを楽にしてあげたいな。セカンドの頭を越えるくらいでランナーを帰したいなくらいに思ってバットを振った。プレッシャーとかは全然なかったと思う。打球はセカンドの右をセンター前に抜けて行った。ランナーが還り２点リード。

Today, I worked well on fielding as well as batting. A precious win for the next day.

今日は守備でもバッティングでもいい仕事ができたように思う。次の日につながる貴重な勝利だった。
