French weekend フレンチな週末

This weekend, a French friend of mine invited me for a dinner, she hosted a guy from Nante, France and we got together at her apartment. I once called her to come when I cooked some Japanese dishes at my friend's home.
She cooked pumpkin soup, a chicken dish, potato gratin and chocolate cake. We stayed up almost all night and played a game, drank wine and talked talked talked.

今週末は、フランス人の友達が夕食に誘ってくれた。彼女はナント出身のフランス人に彼女のアパートの一部屋を提供していて、みんなで集まった。一度友達の家で夕食を振舞ったときに彼女を呼んだことがある。

One Austrian guy who also joined in the party spoke very nice French and it was really a French speaking time. I have not spoken French for almost three years, but it somehow worked well.

夕食に加わったオーストリア人の１人もフランス語をとても上手に話し、本当にフランス語の時間になった。3年くらいフランス語を話していないが、それでもなんとかなるものだ。

Next day, we went together to brunch at a cafe and then in the evening we watched a French movie together. The scene from St.Petersburg and Moscow just brought me a flashback of scenes that I still clearly remember. I still need some training for listening. It is still not very easy to understand everything... I wish and am looking foward to having more occasions to speak French in Vienna.

明くる日、カフェにブランチを食べに行った後、またみんなで集まってフランス語映画を見た。サンクトペテルブルグやモスクワのシーンが生々しく記憶に蘇った。聞き取りにはまだまだ訓練が必要だ。すべてを理解するのはなかなか容易じゃない。ウィーンでフランス語を話す機会が増えることを楽しみにしている。
