Walking through vineyard ブドウ畑を歩く

One of my friends called me to go for a walk in vineyard in a small town near Baden. Usually we would think of Grinzing where there are lots of Heurige (wine restaurant) in 19 district of Vienna, this small town seems to be much bigger than that. It seems that not many tourists would visit here, wine out of this region would be consumed around this area.

友人がバーデンの近くにあるワインの産地でブドウ畑を散歩しようと誘ってきた。普段はウィーンの１９区にあるグリンツィングに行くところだが、ここはグリンツィングと比べても遥かに大きい。あまり観光客は居ないようで、ワインはほとんどがこの近辺で消費される模様。

From the train station we walked along vine yards toward Baden. The view from Grinzing over Vienna city is wonderful, but the scenery here was also excellent. Grapes have been already cropped, there were still some left.

鉄道の駅からワイン場だけを通ってバーデンの方向に向かう。グリンツィングのウィーン市内を一望できる眺めもなかなかだが、ここの景色もなかなかだ。ぶどうはもう収穫されたようだったが、まだところどころに房が残っている。

We wanted to try Sturm, a typical drink of this season which is a sort of wine before starting fermentation, but unfortunately it has already gone at two locations.

みんなでシュトゥルムを飲もうと言っていた。ワインが発行を始める直前の飲み物だが、残念なことにすでに売り切れていた。

Wiener Wiesn 2011

This happy event first took place from this year in Vienna at Prater park. Having been so busy for a long time, first post after almost three months. This 10 days event was wonderful, I went there twice on weekend. They had four different tents. 1L beer costs 7.7 Euro, was absolutely ok price. There was no huge selection of beer but I am sure to go there next year again.

この喜ばしいイベントは今年からウィーンのプラター公園で開かれることになった。しばらく仕事で忙しくしていて、最後の更新から３ヶ月。この１０日間のイベントは素晴らしかった。週末に２回も行った。４つのテントが建てられ、１リットルのビールが７．７ユーロ。全く問題ない値段。ビールの種類はそんなに多くはないが、来年も必ず行きたいと思う。

I just happened to sit in front of three people from Vienna that are to travel to Japan next year, we started to talk about it on and on.

たまたま目の前に座った、来年日本に旅行をする予定の３人連れと、旅行についての話が弾んだ。

Actually this news is 10 days old. I have been too busy with my work and did not find any time.
But how can I avoid this news if I keep this blog from Austria? This if the top page of free street paper.

このニュースは10日ほど古いものですが、仕事が忙しくて時間が見つけられませんでした。でもオーストリアからブログを書いていてどうしてこのニュースを書かずにいられましょう。

Movie Theater under stars 星空の下の映画館

A huge screen for the movie appeared at Charles Church since a week. This open movie theater continues until the end of this month.

大きな映画のスクリーンがカールス教会脇に出現した。この野外劇場は今月一杯楽しめる。

Demonstration against Greece ギリシャへの抗議デモ

When I was eating at a Chinese restaurant near my apartment, I heard strange sound from outside. There is a Greek embassy at the end of the street where I am living, people got together and started demonstration. I first thought that it might be claim for paying lots of money for Greece, but this was something else.

Greek government promotes to poison street dogs and the demonstration was for that. Greece is one of the favorite vacation place for Austrian people and it seems that many people saw dogs hang or killed there.

近所の中華料理屋でご飯を食べていたら、外からおかしな音が聞こえてきた。住んでいる通りの突き当たりにギリシャ大使館があるが、そこで人が集まってデモをやっていた。最初はギリシャのためにたくさんお金を払うことに対する抗議かと思ったが、どうも違う。ギリシャ政府が野良犬のを毒殺を推奨していることに対するデモのようだ。ギリシャはオーストリア人も好きな休暇地のひとつ。そこでたくさんの人が吊られていたり、殺されている犬を見たようだ。

To be a member of EU, they do not want to admit exception. I am sure that Turkey can never be a member.

EUのメンバーになるには例外は認められない。トルコがEUに加盟することだけはないと確信。

Al di Meola concert アル ディ メオラ コンサート

On July 1 there was a BIG concert at state Opera during the period of Vienna Jazz Festival. Al di Meola. I asked one of my friends to go with me. First she hesitated to pay much for an unknown musician, but she seemed to enjoy really very much.

ウィーンで開かれているジャズフェスティバルの期間中の7月1日に、オペラ座で大事なコンサートがあった。アル ディ メオラ。友達の一人を誘ったが、最初は知らないミュージシャンのコンサートにたくさんお金を出すのを渋っていたが、コンサートを十分堪能した様子。

We were at the secpmd row of the back part of the first floor, it was very good. His play was amazing. I kept goose pimples throughout the concert.

一階席の後ろのブロックの2番目の列に座っていた。とても見やすいところだった。彼のプレイはすごかった。コンサート中鳥肌が立っていた。
